Mummy Idea: Another quiz

 Everyday is lockdown for me. Whilst restrictions are easing for most of you - I still hope this will be useful - I use quizzes etc all the time in half term's and holidays.

Being disabled, I have to be organised and I do love a quiz! (I have a whole folder of them)
Normally, I use spots because I have button rugs in my Playroom but I have been known to decamp to the garden.
As previously explained, the kids choose a category of English, History or Science (not maths because I am unashamedly mathematically challenged).
It is a very simple idea if they get the question right they can take a step forward to the next spot. If wrong, they stay put until their next go
It means I have a reason to put on my Youtube playlists (I have shared these and more already).
NB These are questions written for me by my Mum and Dad (who are both ex teachers albeit secondary level) I have absolutely no idea where they originally came from.
I stole a suggestion following my other quiz and if it is hot (and we’re in the garden) I spray them with water if they get an answer right - seems to be a reward lol.
I appreciate they might be too hard for young children - save them for the future.

Like mother, like daughter ...

  My daughter (11) wrote the following speech for her class at school and her teacher kindly sent it to me. I think what I have been whinging about (a lot obviously ) has gone in: 'Hi my name is x and I am here to talk to you about disability discrimination. The reason I am going to talk about this subject is I am very passionate people know what disability discrimination is. All over the world people are building new restaurants and hotels, but these new amazing buildings are forgetting about laws that were put in place to help the disabled access for these buildings. My Children: The PICKIEST of Picky Eaters

 Why don’t my children eat? I ask myself constantly. I know what you are thinking: “MY children eat, she must be pandering to  them in some way” and “don’t give them anything else. If they are hungry  they will eat” But here’s the thing. I am really not pandering to them. My children simply  appear to have wills of iron when it comes to food – and yes, they will go hungry. I have heard it all when it comes to solutions to picky eaters. ‘Don't give them any choice’ is one classic. I don’t. ‘Just keep putting it on their plate ultimately they will eat it’ is another. Mine haven't and they’re 7 and 9 years-old. But I still persist, putting food on their plate for them to waste.
